Holcomb Creek Trail

A Technical challenge

Holcomb Creek Trail has a number of obstacles that make it a difficult trail. You can run the trail in either direction, but most run it from the west to east. There are rock garden obstacles at the beginning of both trails. If you have serious struggles with either of these entrances you should not go further. The rock garden in the middle of the trail is one of the most difficult we have experienced and there is no bypass for the obstacle. The scenic views on the trail are awesome and the trail is part of the Jeep Badge of Honor. Check out even more details and and great map below at All trails.

Where: 34.26068 - 117.08434 you can use your google maps or imap to get to this point. From the 18 you head out Green Valley Blvd to Holcomb Valley Road. The trail is marked 3N93

Length: 8.6 miles

Time: It took us 5 hours from the time we left the 18 and returned to it. We did stop a few times to enjoy the scenery.

Vehicle: You need to have 4wd and high clearance. We ran the trail in our Jeep Wranglers that are well built on 40 inch tires. You should have at least 35 inch tires.
